To our Kenyan Patrons:

We would like to extend our sincere and heartfelt wishes of peace to all of you and your families especially those who have lost loved ones to the violence in Kenya.

At Nagi Events we have received numerous emails on relief efforts. Every day an email or a website pops-up promoting an event that is tied to the suffering in Kenya in the name of peace. Although we appreciate the efforts of some people, we encourage everyone out there to be cautious on whom you give your money/services to. It’s very difficult to legitimize some of these organizations and hence we cannot endorse any relief efforts or forward information regarding relief efforts. Nagi Events is not in a position to guarantee the credibility and accountability of all of these organizations. However we encourage everyone to do their home work and if you find a reputable organization, please do the necessary. Better yet, we encourage everyone to do their little part by directly sending relief home. $20 sent directly to a person or relative in need has a bigger impact than through “some organization” where there are administrative costs, venue costs, and promoters costs etc. (the $20 trickles to a meager $2 or so).

Nagi Events also understand through our vast network that some folks here are directly affected and before they can step outside, they need to help their own. We couldn’t agree more as charity begins at home. For those directly affected our prayers are with you.

Even in the worst of situations, there are always people out there trying to take advantage and undermining the work of those with good intentions. Shame on them!! This is not Childs play as folks are being killed and displaced.

We are therefore asking you to carefully consider any requests for money, events or your time that come your way and make informed decisions before you take any action. Remember when in doubt; send money directly to someone in Kenya who needs it or knows someone that does.
